Government of India has been offering scholarships to the nationals of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam under Mekong Ganga Scholarship Scheme since 2005. Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) is the Nodal Agency administering the scholarship. Under MGC Scholarship Scheme, 50 scholarships are offered each academic year at the level of undergraduate/ postgraduate/Ph.D courses in Indian Universities to the students from Mekong Countries.
